The Book of John is the fourth and final Gospel of the New Testament. It is often considered to be more theological and less historical than the three synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. Our magazine-style booklet contains the complete New International Version (NIV) of John. Our individual books of the Bible are inexpensive and are great for school, Bible study and casual reading.
"In the beginning was the Word"
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
"For God so loved the world"
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
"I am the bread of life"
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”
"Let him be the first to throw a stone"
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
"I am the resurrection and the life"
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”
"Lazarus, come out!"
When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
"Love each other as I have loved you"
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
"Here is your mother"
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.”
"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
